Swallowtail Fun

I love the Swallowtail stamp and was so happy it carried over into the new catty ... so when our team meeting theme challenge this month was 'something fun' well of course Swallowtail was first stamp to pop into my head ... and well the new In Color Coastal Cabana just makes me want to dance so put them together and well I am one happy stamper!

I made two versions of the same card for tomorrow nights team meeting to show case a clean and simple card and a stepped up option ...
The 'clean and simple' card is designed to take less than 10 minutes to stamp, embellish and assemble while still being striking and a treat for anyone to open.

It is hard to see but the great thing about the new 'ink pads' from Stampin' Up! is that they are so juicy you can quickly add embossing powder to any of them and it will stick ~ so the butterflies are embossed with Iridescent Ice!

I added some paper piercing in the one corner to balance the card out and the little stamp is the Bitty Butterfly punch and the Papilion Potpourri stamp set.

My second card is a stepped up card ... added the extra step of stamping a second image and cutting it out so the butterfly can fly off the page and of course some bling cause bling is just FUN with rhinestones and pearls on the butterfly!

If you would like to make this card for a loved one and earn free product while you are at it remember all you have to do is book a 'private workshop' and invited your friends over to your house or mine and share the joy of stampin' ... I do all the card prep for you!

Rising to the Challenge

Took advantage of a weekend away for Fathers Day to carve out some time to boot up My Digital Studio and rise to some challenges for inspiration with a scrapbook layout of my wonderful kitty Nevada and our recent road trip with her ... one of the things I do love about My Digital Studio is it allows me to scrapbook anywhere and well since the boys were off doing their boy fun a girl needs to be able to play too!

I was inspired by my online friends Maggie and Rhoda over at My Stamping Best Friend and their June's Color Challenge to make use of the wonderful new 2013-14 In Colors of Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush with Basic Grey combined with this wonderful Hexagon inspired June layout challenge of Sketch 348 from over at Scrapbook Challenges which I had a whole lot of fun playing along with cause I am loving the little Hexagon punch from Stampin' Up both in its digital version and the traditional punch!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Father's Day today!

My Top 5 Wishlist

Have you had a chance to check out the new catty? boy is it chalk full of some amazing, fun and beautiful new products!

I finally carved out some time this weekend to really sit down with the new catty and carefully look and create my wishlist and prioritize by my Top 5 wishlist products ~ which was hard to narrow it down to 5 because I have over 72 items on my wishlist at this point!

My Top 5 items are ....

1. Mosaic Madness Bundle on page 123 ... this set is so cute and versatile and I cannot wait to play with it.

2. Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds and clay on page 167 ... I can so imagine the fun I am going to have playing with this new product PLUS I can let the kiddies play too and what is more fun than sharing what I love with the next generation!

3. Washi tape on page 171 ... I am loving that Stampin' Up is carrying washi tape now ~ so much that I even went out and bought a washi tape storage unit at Micheal's cause I know that I am going to get quite a collection growing.

4. The Core'dinations Cardstock on page 157 ... how excited am I that it now comes in ALL the Stampin' Up colors ~ got goosebumps when I noticed that surprise.

5. Last but certainly not least I am so saving up for the Big Shot Magnetic Platform on page 184 ... my guess is you will have to watch the 3M stock now because stampers everywhere are going to save a bundle on no longer needing post it notes with this beautiful piece of stampin' support ~ no more shifting or moving framelits with the magnetic platform.

Well that's my Top 5 ... what's on your wishlist?
