Online Extravaganza

Stampin' Up!' Online Extravaganza, our annual sale to kick off the holiday shopping season, will begin Monday, November 21, 2011, and run through Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

This promotion is perfect for those would like to shop online during this especially busy time of year and avoid the store line ups or traffic -  however sale prices will be available on all order types so if you prefer the personal interaction of a demonstrator to help place your order please feel free to drop me a line and I can order your 'sale' items for you :)

So make sure to come back and click the above link to my Online Store on Monday November 21st to take advantage of great savings! Savings such as FREE digital downloads valued at $42 when you buy the My Digital Studio Express or 60 % off select Designer Fabrics - these are awesome in all sorts of paper crafting too for texture and embellishments and 30 % off an exclusive ribbon bundle!

In the meantime here is a little Fall Centerpiece offering to enjoy before the reality of the snow arrives and brings us into Winter ... these are centre pieces I made recently for the AECEO when we helped to sponsor the Quality Child Care Project Mentorship Evening and Raising the Bar celebration.

I made 20 for the tables in a variety of designs but all featuring the Spice Cake Designer Series paper and our Bigz Fun Flowers die, the large scallop punch for the smaller rosettes and with the Petal Cone die inverted for the vase!

Here are some up close of the flowers ... each one unique!
I used My Digital Studio to create a coordinating verse for the vases ... Celebrating ECE Everywhere and than the Vintage Vogue floral image in coordination Pool Party, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Pear Pizzaz and some Pacific Point for fun!
And how can we celebrate without a chance to be spoiled and pampered with a change to win DOOR PRIZES ... so I donated a couple of start sets with stamp, paper, markers, ink and some embellishments to make a few cards!
Happy Stampin'

Decor Elements

Finally had a few moments to whip up my Vintage Ornaments painting ... I so love how simple yet pretty these are to make!

Paint a canvas with the colour scheme of your choice starting lightest to darker colours ... so this one was using a white acrylic paint for the background and than a few drops of Old Olive reinker dropped over and brushed through to make it look like the background of a 'tree'. Let dry and than apply your decor element of choice!

Tip for paint use - do not use a 'pearlized' paint though cause the decor elements do not seem to want to stick to anything pearl or glossy textured - it needs to be a flat paint for best results ... you can add a pearl or glitter to your surface after adding the decor element for bling effect just be careful to avoid the decor element :)

Trick or Treat Decor

I am so loving the Stampin' Up Decor Elements line ... here is the Trick or Treat bin I whipped up for putting our loot in for the kids this year ... it was so easy but it looks cute!

This Spooky things set is in the current Holiday mini and I only use a portion of the set - the other half was used to create my Raven in the Sunset painting hanging in the kitchen!

This is the front view blinged up with the retired Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon that I purchased off the Stampin' Up clearance rack for $2.89 for a 10 yard spool - quite a steal!

Back of the bucket....

Spooky Things

I have been eying the Stampin' Up! Decor Elements forever thinking they look SO cool ... I have seen them in lots of demonstrators homes and blogs however admit I was a bit afraid to tinker with something I had never used!

So a huge thank you to my upline Liz for pushing me out of my comfort zone and inspiring me to use some Stampin' Up! Decor Elements at her recent class ... cause tinkering with the support of a group of other women takes the edge off making a mistake with them :)

I am so happy with the way mine turned out - I cannot wait until I have some free time this weekend to do up the rest of the Spooky Things items that came with this kit as well as my Eastern Blooms set that came with my starters kit... and my next order getting placed is definitely going to have some additional Decor Elements items for the upcoming seasons added to it ... and the wish list of Stampin' must haves grows once again!

Have a spooktacular day all!
