Book-a-thon Challenge!

Stampin' Up is holding another Book-a-thon contest for Demos in an effort to help us fill our calendars for the upcoming Sale-a-bration between January 24th and March 31st!

This is an amazing time to host a workshop either in your own home or mine if that would work better for you - which is a double bonus cause you get a great afternoon or evening with your friends and all the hostess benefits of the workshop but I do all the housecleaning and clean up!

So all you need to do is shoot me an email or phone call today before 9pm to tell me you are interested and we can arrange the details of when will work best  between us!

Now on to sharing inspiring cards ... this challenge was from over at Stamping 411 ...

And here is what I came up with using the sketch outline and well the continue color palette inspiration from this weeks Color Q and playing with the Foxy Oxi technique some more - loads of fun!

Just love how the Tree Trimmings set looks with the snowy background effect of the Foxy Oxi ... and well a little bling of the Pewter embossing powder and some Rhinestone gems!!

Happy Stampin!

Just Us Girls gift box challenge

Over at Just Us Girls they raised the challenge of creating a set of cards and matching holder ... and I thought what an awesome way to showcase our Kraft Gift Boxes and the Holiday Bouquet Designer Series Paper!

So I made a Poinsettia adorned offering with the Kraft Gift boxes from the Holiday Mini and than created 12 matching 3x3 gift cards with envelopes!

Featuring the Ornament punch and Delightful Decorations ...
As well as the Tree Trimmings stamp set and an ornament made with the Blossoms Punch...

Stop on by the Just for Girls challenge blog and check out the offerings from the Design team and other stampers offerings!

Happy Stampin'

Stockings are hung ...

Is this not the cutest little Christmas card?

I made this card for our monthly Team meeting challenge and card swap to showcase Holiday mini finds we love ... well I just love the Stocking Builder punch, the Holly Bouquet DSP and glitter paper, little Jingle Bell embellishments in the mini and the new Snowburst embossing folder and the Dazzling Details accents ... well I could go on and on the Mini is full of amazing products and I manged to squeeze many of them into this card.

If you are ever interested in seeing what a Team meeting is like or just participating in a card swap let me know cause I am allowed to bring guests - it costs $5 and you would be eligible for door prizes in addition to getting to make awesome cards and have great fun!

Happy Stampin!

Saturday Scrapbooking Sketches

Time for another Saturday Scrapsketch from over on My Digital Studio ....I loved the replica of a film strip - however I did not have the strip punch download so had to improvise with the Scallop Trim border punch!

These are more converted photos from my Aunt ... Christmas photos from the Grandparents house with my siblings! Large photo is my brother and I looks like 1971 the photos from the strip are from the year prior 1970 when I was a little toddler!

Since the photos are now teetering on 'vintage' being over 40 years old I thought I would use some of the vintage overlay brush sets as well as the 'lighter vintage blues' for the layout! In addition the Tree Trimming's stamp set also add some 'vintage looking' ornaments along with the Tags til Christmas ornament stamp.

Tree Trimmings

I recently attended a Stamp for the Cure event hosted by a fellow demo Caroline Locke. It was an energetic event that combined shopping and stampin' who could ask for more! Between shopping at the various vendors and wining some amazing door prizes we made several awesome cards and projects all for a great cause - raising funds for breast cancer awareness.

This is one of the cards featuring a nice perfect plum and pink pirouette color scheme ... a simple quick but still elegant Xmas card! One of the things I love about paper crafting is that you can create both simple elegance as well as complex detailed techniques but both give the recipient a WOW factor of a handmade from the heart offering!

Christimas in June

Oh my - my second wonderful box of goodies arrived this week ... and oh what fun I have been having with unpacking it and getting my craft room all organized to house the additional splurges!

My favorite new toy by far is my new My Digital Studio program ... I am in heaven with this awesome product ... which I earned for FREE with my first demonstrator workshop order ... a definite perk to hosting a qualifying workshop - FREE PRODUCT!

My first night after opening all my 'present's - I created 20 scrap page layouts from Xmas's past in less than 2 hours ... easy peasy with the My Digital Studio program ... and the great thing is that when I print them out - I can still add traditional 3-D embellishments for that extra WOW factor in my album!

Here are a couple samples of some layouts I created this week ...
