Trick or Treat Vampire Bats

Spooky fun ..... Vampire Bat style!

I had seen these litlte Bat samples all over the Internet and was exited to get to make one of these cool trick or treat bags as a sample at my upline Liz's class this weekend and see how easy they actually were that I thought what a cool project to make with the daycare kids for their trick or treat bags this weekend.

I tweaked the sample a bit by having the kids add some versamark via a brayer to the wings and than we heat embossed them hand over hand. As a result of little hands helping we got some embossing powder where it did not belong but that is ok I think it gives the wings that 'wet look' that bats have and well the crew loves playing with my Big Shot and other stampin materials - makes them feel grown up!

The kids picked through my glitter brads to choose their favorite eye colors and helped with punching out some fangs using the small Pennant builder punch and of course the Dazzling Details to add the slippery vampire bat smile!

I also made up an encore offering of some of the spooky butterfly magnets and pins for the crew cause they were a hit last year!

No better time to join my team ...

Welcome bloggers ... I can never say it enough but one of the things I just LOVE about Stampin' Up is the collaborative supportive team atmosphere ... my upline is amazing and we meet monthly to share ideas on building our business and participating in cardswaps!

Here are some shares from the end of Septembers swap where we focused on Holiday themed cards showcasing Holiday mini and other finds from the catty  ...

From Liz's daughter an amazing Halloween offering ... loved creating this it was spooky sponging fun!

Nancy shared this peekaboo ornament card which showcases the new Platinum embossing powder however my camera did not do it justice!
Pauline brought a guest this month - another great thing about Stampin' Up they really mean it when they say 'Share What You Love' . Pauline's guest was Tanya if I remember correctly who shared this card which showcased the Stocking Building punch and coordinating stamp set.
From Liz this cool 'bleached' Comfort and Joy offering that has both a Fall and Christmas feel to it!
From Pauling a really cool clean and simple Day of Gratitude offering ... combination of stamped and embossed images ...love the Gold embossing powder!

From Susan ... another cool peekaboo Delightful Decorations offering which showcases the Northern Flurry embossing folder nicely as well!
Have you ever considered the benefits of being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator? We have all sorts of career paths!

From the 'Discount Demo' who is her own best customer and joins up just to get the amazing Start Kit goodies and the great 20% demo discount ... if you are an avid stamper or scrapper this path could be for you!

We have the 'Hobby Demo' career path which is perfect for those of us who have a financial goal we want to meet - we can earn some extra money or we can earn enough money part time to support our own addiction - so a few workshops and classes a month help the Hobby Demo to support their addiction while getting a great discount on products they love!

Last but not least we have the 'Dynamic Business Demo' who has a bit more time and energy to devote to their business .. striving to keep their calendar full with workshops and classes and working to build a strong team of fellow Demos to really share what they love!

The great thing about Stampin' Up is that the quarterly minimums are very attainable for the Discount Demo path and the possibilities for building a strong business are endless guided by a supportive team and your own passion!

This month join my team and not only get a FREE BIG SHOT but the awesome Start Kit as well!

Happy Stampin'

More Spooky Luminaries

Another treat from our recent Halloween Stamp a Stack event ... these are so much fun to make.

This first one is a stamped Velum creation using the Wicked Cool stamp set and the Bitty Bat punch and a spider punch from another company...cause I am too lazy to cut out eight little itty bitty spider legs ;)

Here it is with the 'candle' lit ... using the flame-less battery operated candle!

With the candle turned off ...

A growing collection of luminaries ... some of them featuring the Spiderweb emboss technique on the vellum.

Traditional Spooky Banner

As promised here is the traditional paper crafted Spooky banner for my upcoming Halloween Stamp a Stack afternoon!

This project uses the Clear Scallop Square Bigz Die as the base of each panel and each panel is attached to the long strand of black satin ribbon and tie is made with our Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon!

S panel in Rich Razzleberry cardstock spritzed with Silver Smooch Spray and sporting our cute 2 Step Owl sitting on the branch from the 2 Step Bird punch. Letters are cut using the Timeless Die Cut set for the Big Shot.

P panel is using the Wicked Cool designer series paper and accented with the Wicked Cool Spider web stamp and a hand punched spider using the circle punch and some photo corners and our Bitty Bat punch in the opposite corner.

O panel with Old Olive cardstock and the Wicked Cool Witch Hat, Boots and bats stamps and spritzed with Vanilla Smooch Spray.

O panel in Basic Black cardstock embossed with Spider web folder and sponged with Whisper White ink and adorned with a couple punched spiders (not Stampin' Up unfortunately - but my hands are not so good for cutting out a spider by hand and we do not carry a spider punch yet).

K panel with Pumpkin Pie and embossed with the Polka Dot emboss folder and adorned with the Bitty Bat and a hand punched ghost using the wings from the 2 Step Bird punch.

Y panel with the Wicked Cool Designer Series paper and some more handmade ghosts using the 2 Step Bird punch.

Spooky Luminary

This is a project we made at my upline Decor Elements class ... isn't it cute? You cannot tell in the photo but inside is a flame-less candle that lights up the spooky spider web for Halloween.

This project features the Stampin Up! Fancy Favor Bigz die and the Spider web embossing folder! It was really easy to make and I am planning on making some with my daycare kids and letting them bling up the edges!

Paisley Pumpkins

Another awesome contribution from the Sneak peak Holiday Mini night with my upline Liz ... I love the combination of all the sneak peak items she combined here as well .... all are from the Holiday mini - Stampin' Up really out did themselves this time with the selection and Liz put the card design together to totally rock the Halloween theme!

Personally I wish the tradition of Halloween card sending would increase the same as Xmas cards cause well these are TOO much fun to make man!

A Wicked Cool Halloween

More fun with Halloween treasures!

Here are some sneak peeks from the Holiday mini Halloween collection! The Spider web embossing folder - used on vellum card stock for that wispy spider web look, the Bitty Bat punch and the Black Lace Trim - very pretty ribbon. The Spider stamp is from Batty for You and punched with a 1 inch circle punch and the Witches feet are from the new Wicked Cool stamp set ... looking forward to some more playing with this set!
