Superbowl 'Kissing' Distrations

I took advantage of the men being distracted by the big screen, cold beer and munchies today to spend much of the afternoon hiding in the 'women cave' aka my Crafting Corner ... who knew I would grow up craving to be sent to the corner for the afternoon???

So with my free time I spent this afternoon coming up with this wonderful offering of 'love' for my Technique Tuesday class this coming week .... with February being the Month of Love I thought we would revisit our KISSING techniques ;)
The butterflies were 'kissed' in numerous ways from the stamped off kiss, uninked kiss and finally two toned kissing ... you cannot see it too well in the photo but the Upsy Daisy was kissed with some En Francis two toned kisses .... seriously who doesn't like some kissing such a cute and fun little technique?

My creation this week was inspired by the wonderful Sketch challenge over at 1{heart}2stamp .... hop on by and check out the wonderful inspirations from the Design Team and other bloggers!
The color combo of Basic Black, Real Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White from over at ColourQ ... some wonderful inspirations go check them up too.

Enchanting Freshly Made ...

Loving this new Sale-bration designer series paper... Everyday Enchanted ... features many of the 2012 In Colors ... which I picked out the Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and new Labels Collection Framelit to accent this card with...and yet another 'peekaboo embossing' technique with the grass from the Inspired by Nature set peeking out behind the Elegant Bouquet embossed image as well as the Polka Dots peeking out on the Flight of the Butterfly image.

BTW ... just loving the gorgeous ribbon and matching brads available for free in the Sale-a-bration catty as well - very elegant and subtle addition to a project!

I did not make the cut of to submit this card over at the Freshly Made website - but pop on over and see the other wonderful entries!

Doing the Mash ...

This card layout inspired by the Friday MashUp from last week ... which I used to explore some more 'peekaboo embossing' techniques with in preparation for tomorrow nights Technique Tuesday class ... just loving this technique with stampin' on the embossing folders!

This card features paper, Big Shot dies and stamp set items from both the upcoming Occasions Mini as well as the Sale-a-bration catties!
Hop on over to the Friday Mashup to check out what the other ladies have created with this layout!

Love is in the air ...

Having fun with more challenges this weekend ...this one is from the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog - I tweaked the layout just a little bit adding a fourth element and well had a blast ... not trying to be a bah humbug about Christmas - I really do love it - but I have finished all my Christmas cards so need to move on to other themes!

Found a new little trick for my all time favorite Tiny Tags set and Jewellery punch - using a little jewellery ring to hang them from the ribbon - cool eh?

If you have a minute hop on over to the Try Stampin on Tuesday blog and see what the design team and other bloggers have created using the sketch below - some amazing talent out on the net!

A La Card Monkey Challenge 85 ...

Made this little 'Sweet Pea' color combo card using my Color Coach for inspiration along with the sketch from the awesome ladies over at the A La Card Monkey this week ... isn't it cute?

Hard to see in the photo but the pink 'flower' is stamped with a Snowflake from Serene Snowflakes using a bleach technique - it is a very subtle Winter Holiday card that I thought would be awesome for a Thank you card this season!

Still time to play along if you want - here is the sketch! And come on back on Friday night and check out the card I am making as Guest Designer for Saturdays Sketch of the week!

Selective Embossing Tricks

Next weeks Technique Tuesday class is going to cover the many varied tricks with  'Selective Embossing' using the Big Shot and Embossing folders - so this week I have been playing trying to choose a couple cards to showcase to the wonderful ladies in my group!

This card here is a basic sample of a quick and easy technique where the top and bottom of a layer are embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots leaving the middle free to be stamped!

I used the Cupcake wheel here and ran it across with the Basic Black ink and than colored them in using Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Cherry Cobbler color combo and than versamarked and embossed with Iridescent Ice on the clear white icing!

Also was able to showcase the Tagtastic Hostess set again - cute little set that works awesome with the Decorative Label punch - this time I colored it with the Stamp Write Markers to make a multi colored image.

Kitchen reno offering

So sorry for going so long without a blog post - we are currently undergoing some home renovations that are consuming all my time and energy ... this is a card we made at our team meeting a few weeks ago ... I added some pearl and extra greenery at home to cover up some ink boo-boos - need to practice some more of that two step stamping technique - but gotta love embellishments cause they cover a world of misplaced ink!

Bliss Butterflies

This is a card we made yesterday at our March Stamp-a-Stack ... note to self - make sure when working with white cardstock to keep fingers clean ... got a finger print on the polka dot later and than I had to 'fix it' by sponging some Pacific point on the white polka dot layer to make it look like I meant to do it ;)

This card features the Polka Dot emboss folder, Decorative Label punch, Word Window punch and the Bliss stamp set with pearl accents on Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White cardstock and a Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment.

Joy Banner - traditional style

So here are my 'traditional' Joy Banners created from my digital template!

Horizontal Banner ... admitting I did not like the way this one hung on the wall - so I did it over again ;)Second time is a charm ... here is my Vertical Joy banner which I was happier with the way it hung ... well that and in my home I totally have more places to hang a vertical designed banner than a horizontal one.

I designed the 5 panel Banner so that if I wanted I could have the option to create one that either says Joy, Peace or Love depending on my inspiration. I went with the Joy because I wanted a 'winter' theme that could stay up past Christmas and well it allowed for the Ariel Snowman to be incorporated into the O and I am just in love with snowman this season!

So my first panel is Mr Christmas Owl in his fancy vest showcased on the polka dot embossed whisper white paper!

The letter J encased on the ornament punch which was stamped with the polka dot ornament from the Delightful Decorations set and the Serene Snowflakes in the background.

Letter O panel features a Ariel view snowman punched with our circle punch, arms are from the 2 Bird punch set with brad eyes, real red grossgrain ribbon accents.

Letter Y panel is embossed with the Northern Flurry folder and paired with the 2 Step Bird to make a Christmas Cardinal and of course some Rhinestone bling!

Final Panel with the Tags til Christmas stamp set punched out with the ornament punch in the Baja Breeze ink with a little Rhinestone bling paired with some Vanilla Smooch Spritz to add some glitter!

Wonder Wheels - encore

Sorry to be so long between posting .... been very busy preparing for Halloween with the kiddies!

This month I combined my Card Swap for my team meeting with the card I designed for my November technique class. This month we are revisiting the Wonderful Wheels from last month ... here is one of the cards we will be making!

This card features the Baby Tee wheel ... which I personally LOVE because there are so many different ways you can use this wheel - including carefully cutting out the little T's and popping them up. in different layers over the wheeled image or just solo with other stamp sets!

I was trying to go for a 'generic' colour combination but was having trouble choosing a third colour to go with the yellow/green so pulled out my trusty Colour Coach! So this colour combination of Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Night of Navy came from the Colour Coach Creative combo suggestions...which worked out awesome cause turns out this is this weeks Color Dare challenge so I can submit for it as well!

I also think that the Baby Tees partners very well with our Polka Dot Emboss folder and snuck in some glitter brad bling.

Traditional Spooky Banner

As promised here is the traditional paper crafted Spooky banner for my upcoming Halloween Stamp a Stack afternoon!

This project uses the Clear Scallop Square Bigz Die as the base of each panel and each panel is attached to the long strand of black satin ribbon and tie is made with our Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon!

S panel in Rich Razzleberry cardstock spritzed with Silver Smooch Spray and sporting our cute 2 Step Owl sitting on the branch from the 2 Step Bird punch. Letters are cut using the Timeless Die Cut set for the Big Shot.

P panel is using the Wicked Cool designer series paper and accented with the Wicked Cool Spider web stamp and a hand punched spider using the circle punch and some photo corners and our Bitty Bat punch in the opposite corner.

O panel with Old Olive cardstock and the Wicked Cool Witch Hat, Boots and bats stamps and spritzed with Vanilla Smooch Spray.

O panel in Basic Black cardstock embossed with Spider web folder and sponged with Whisper White ink and adorned with a couple punched spiders (not Stampin' Up unfortunately - but my hands are not so good for cutting out a spider by hand and we do not carry a spider punch yet).

K panel with Pumpkin Pie and embossed with the Polka Dot emboss folder and adorned with the Bitty Bat and a hand punched ghost using the wings from the 2 Step Bird punch.

Y panel with the Wicked Cool Designer Series paper and some more handmade ghosts using the 2 Step Bird punch.
