Loving the Lilies

I just love the Faux Patina look and was able to use it recently on a custom card order ... it paired nicely with the wonderful lilies from the Secret Garden stamp set and some brushed gold leaves!

Watercoloring is SO relaxing I just love when I get a chance to incorporate the technique into a card creates such a nice effect!

It is getting pretty busy right now over here! I am making some new Stamp 4 the Cure Pink Ink themed cards for upcoming craftshows next month and I cannot wait to show them too you PLUS the Triple D's are also gearing up for the online auction over on Facebook and thanks to many local businesses and fellow London Mompreneurs  we have lots of awesome items coming available for bidding on September 7th ... please hop on over and check it out just click the image below.

Have a Habby Birthday

Anyone who knows me knows that I always love a good challenge ~ so I can admit getting a custom card order that featured a Montreal Canadians theme had me momentarily stumped and helped me to stretch my creative thinking to new levels! 

It paid off I think cause I just LOVE how this card turned out, in my humble opinion the photo does not do it justice, it is so shiny just like fresh from the Zamboni ice! 

I choose to use the Faux Glass technique to create an 'ice feel' on the card and chose a color scheme to mimic the centre line with their logo as the focal point. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned and of course you cannot leave the envelope naked so I punched out another logo and glued it on the front of the envelope! 

Sure hope that the recipient of the card has an amazing birthday when the time comes and that he too loves his special custom made card in honor of his favorite team.

Beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

So excited to be able to support this wonderful organization with a online auction donation! 

Christmas Shoeboxes 

is an online Charity Auction to raise money to fill shoe boxes for children who have never received a gift in their life. Last year over $1800 was raised thanks to many generous businesses who donated items and t his year Jennifer hopes to surpass that goal. 

2013 Auction date is set for September 19th 8pm - September 23rd 9pm  so be sure to go over and like her page so that you get notification reminder when bidding starts ... check out the album because there are some truly awesome donations up for grabs!

Speaking of Christmas ~ now is the PERFECT time to book a workshop with me and get you and your friends started on making personalized hand stamped Christmas cards for all your loved ones ... just imagine the look on their faces opening up little pieces of Faux patina art made with your hand stamped love just like this one over here on the right ... even a beginner stamper can make gorgeous cards with the help of wonderful Stampin' Up! products!!

Triumphant Technique Tuesday

Had a blast this week with our Faux Patina technique class ~ I just LOVE the vintage look of this technique and it is so quick and easy to do yet yeilds a stunningly beautiful effect card recievers will think you worked for hours to create this beauty! 

The card to the left here features our elegant bouquet embossing folder and the color combination of Crumb Cake, Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana and Early Espresso with a little simmering accent Champange glimmer paper punched with the Elegant  Butterfly and a splash of color with the Itty Bitty butterfly punch overlaid and some half back pearls to give it some bling and the sentiment is from Perfectly Penned!

Than this beauty over here to the right just looks so striking specially in person ~ like a shimmery copper! 

Showcasing our Honeycomb embossing folder with the color scheme of Crumb cake, Brown Sugar, Crisp Canteloupe and Cajun craze this card also features my FAVORITE stamp set at the moment ~ Secret Garden which comes with some amazing Edgelit die cuts to allow you to quickly cut the flowers out if you'd like ~ I have some cards coming up later this week that showcase just how gorgeous this set is and how fun it is to water color ... just look at these gorgeous flowers and shimmery coppery effect ... and the little butterfly is divine who would not feel extra special opening up an envelope and finding this beauty ... you too could be giving out gorgeous cards like this just come out to a class and check it out?

Would also like to extend a warm welcome to a new friend and wonderful talent joining the stamping table ~ Sherry from Sherry's Custom Cakes! I am not sure who is more excited about the idea but Sherry is going to be combing Stampin' with her cake making PLUS she also features GLUTEN FREE cakes .... which well let me tell you has me tickled pink with anticipation to have both my favorite things in one place stamps and gluten free baking ... I think I am in heaven!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME ... 

I just LOVE that our new holiday catalog goes live on my birthday cause it is a perfect excuse for me to get lots of stuff on my wishlist ~ including these new THINLITS die cuts featured in the video below which will surely save me some time in making cool fancy folds for my cards as well as embellishments for scrapbooking and so much more!
