Inspired by an Invitation ...

Anyone whose stamped with me knows I love any reason to get my extra BLING on when making hand stamped projects and this grogeous wedding card was no exception!

I got totally inspired by Candice and Matt's lovely wedding invitation which reminded me of the wonderful now retired but still loved French Foilage stamp set ... this was a perfect reason to bring it back out from my retired collection!

I created some gorgeous little flower embellishments using the 1 3/4" Scallop circle and Boho Blossoms punches. Quickly sponged their edges with either Wild Wasabi or Pink Pirouette inks and than spritzed them with Smooch spray adhering them together with our glimmer brads or candy dot brads and scattered them along the stamped leaves using glue dots ... just love the effect this created of a flowering bush.

The Papillion Potpourri butterflies were stamped on vanilla card stock with Pink Pirouette ink and easily punched out with the Elegant and Bitty butterfly punches and some rhinestone bling used to accent their bodies. They float nicely around the Word Play 'Happy I Do Day' sentiment which has been punched out with the Wide Oval punch and framed nicely with the Designer Frames oval embossing folder .... creating what I hope is a stunning wedding card for my little cousin and his bride on their big day!

Sending out some love and light today to both Matt and Candice ... I am so excited to be able to share their special day with them!

Spooky Cute Monkey Challenge

Fun with the A La Card Monkey this week as well ... click the link to check out how others were inspired!

Here is my take on the sketch ... making use of the Fright Night DSP and my Wicked Cool stamp set!

Of course being a punch addict - I love that the Owl builder punch can be turned into a spooky ghost and also that the Tiny Tiny tags boo makes an awesome mouth sentiment for him!

I wanted some brads for this section but realized I was out of the 'black' ones - so I made my own glitter 'brads' by using some Chrystal effects and black glitter!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving so many encouraging comments!

Hybrid Valentines

These are the goodie bags that I made for the kids back on Valentines ... I used the My Digital Studio to create the Hugs and Kisses sentiment and printed out a page full on Whisper White and punched them with the 1 1/4 punch, than punched a 1 3/4 inch circle in pink pirouette and the scallaps in Red Glitter paper - pierced them with the Crop-o-dile and than attached with a bit of pink curly ribbon!

Than I also made some 'boxed Chocolate' valentines with the kids for their parents ... each box holds a dozen of the little Lindt chocolates ... yummy!

Sale-a-brating Metal

This is one of the cards we will be making at our upcoming Technique class on Tuesday February 1st ... featurings working with sheet metal .

This card the sheet metal serves as a shiny focal layer which has been run through the embossing folder with the Elegant lines set and mounted on a vanilla cardstock back that is embossed with the Framed with tulips. Accented with the Butterfly embosslit, the ribbon punch as well as the Punch Bunch stamp set from our upcoming Sale-abration promotion - just one of many gorgeous stamp sets you can earn FREE with your Stampin' Up purchase!

Is this little Poppy Stamp below not adorable ... so much I can see doing with this one!
Now this particular stamp itself comes with a 'stamped' scallop floral as the outer image around the poppy which can be punched out as an entire single layer image ... however here I have layered it by punching the scallop oval in Cherry Cobbler and than using the 1 3/8 Circle punch to punch out the 'inside' of the stamped image only and popped it up on dimensional's.

I love me some layers and depth in a card ... the metal serves as m
y bling in this one!

More Run for the Cure Cards

This first card is one of the cards from the Stamp for the Cure fundraiser afternoon hosted by Caroline Locke. Done up using the Elegant Bouquet and scallop circle punch and the 1 3/4 circle punch and the Ribbon of Hope with Pretty and Pink.

So I chose to CASE the initial card - which means to copy and share elsewhere - I wondered what it would look like with some Bling ... so I changed the orientation of the next card and glittered up the embossed flowers on the Elegant Bouquet!
