Poppy Medallion

Playing with the new Designer Rosette Bigz Die which allows you to make Rosettes of all sizes in minutes .... paired  this Rosette made with the Everyday Enchanted DSP with the Poppy Parade medallion which I embossed with clear to give it some shine and pop!

The DSP, the pretty button and the Calypso Coral ribbon accent are all available FREE in just two more days time via the Sale-abration promotion starting on January 24th!

Just a shout out thanks to Try Stamping on a Tuesday for the inspiration on the layout - did not get a chance to share it in time for the challenges but had fun playing along regardless ... check out the awesome entries made!

Scrap & Crop Weekend

A huge thank you to Alicia from Crop Scene Inc for an amazing Scrap and Crop Weekend retreat ... truly had an amazing time!

My first scrapping retreat and I really enjoyed the whole thing ... the energy in the room and seeing some amazing new ideas and tricks for layouts!

I finally made my 'title page' for my first scrapbook which has long since been a work in progress scrapping photos from my family and childhood!

I had fun with the Petite Pennant Builder punch for my title and went with vintage colors but with some glitter and distressing.
I paired the now retired Sense of Time with the Medallion stamp set for my back ground and layering with the Scallop punch to make some flowers!
It was a productive weekend and I was able to complete of 14 layouts which I look forward to sharing.

Inspired by others ...

This is a layout I created after being inspired by the work of Christine Fuson over on My Digital Studio ... she used a similar layout for her MDS content submission ... should have been a winner in my opinion as it is just so COOL!

The wave is created by first creating two square punches and stretching them to fit out a large one on the left side and a smaller rectangle on the right. You fill the left side with your choice of DSP and than the right with the coordinating color. Than you make to circles and stretch them to make the shape of the wave you want and than fill the top one with the solid colour and the bottom one with the DSP and move it around to make it blend and tweak the solid circle to be a nice wave flow. Than decorate your page as desired!

I just LOVE how the medallion stamp goes with this Love Letter designer series paper - like they were made for each other!

Sensational Scrapbooking

All these vintage photos are really sparking scrapbooking urges in me! These photos are of my Great Grandparents on their wedding day and than them with all their kids ... my Grandpa and his siblings in 1942...it is seeing this photos that reminds me so much of our Mennonite heritage as by the time I came along the family was much more 'new order' than in the olden days where the darker plainer coloured clothes were the norm!

I love the Medallion stamp ... it is one of my favorites and its use in the My Digital studio is just SO AWESOME because you can alter the size of it making it oh so more versatile ... sometimes when I am working with my traditional one I wish I could shrink it up or stretch it out ;)

Medallion Snowflake

Yet another of my favorite stamps - this one is so versatile...inked up with the stampin spots in several blue shades and paired with some basic grey paper and ribbon and the Noel from the Many Merry Message set ... and of course some dazzling diamonds bling adhered with 2 way glue!

Thankful for My Digital Studio...

because I can take it with me wherever I go ... including my weekend away for a mini Thanksgiving vacation at the in laws! So while I was able to spend time with my family celebrating all the other things we are thankful for I was also able to squeeze in some scrapbooking!

Below are some pages I made capturing the celebration of Alex and his Grade 8 grade last year. Cannot believe he is in Grade 9 now!

These pages are done showcasing the Vintage Vogue, Medallion, Circle Circus and Simple Friendship stamp sets as well as the Flower Brads and the digital circle and scalloped circle punches.

My Digital Garden ...

A huge thank you to my awesome crew today for taking a nice long nap which allowed me a little bit of time to get scrapping my garden photos from this summer!

I am loving learning more and more about what the My Digital Studio can do - and was excited to download some new stamps and ribbon accents this past weekend - happy birthday to me!

I created all the flower embellishments in the layouts using DIGITAL PUNCHES and layering them up .... was even able to recreate a digital version of the 'butterfly pansies' using the butterfly punch template ... I was pretty proud of that one!

Thank you Cards for the Salsa Moms

I have had the wonderful opportunity to be asked to donate to the gift bags for some new mommies who are signed up to take the Salsa Babies classes here in London.

So I thought what better than some nice hand stamped thank you cards for a busy new mom - so she can thank everyone who has showered her and the new babe!

I opted for some Pear Pizazz as my colour theme - as the nice soft green is a neutral colour fun for both sexes!

My first card features the Medallion Stamp and the Think Happy Thoughts Stamp set punched out with a 1 1/4 circle punch.

The second card here is the Forest Friends stamp set sponged with some pumpkin pie sun and pear pizazz grass.
No card collection would be complete without an appearance from my favorite Upsy Daisy stamp set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes Thank you stamp.

Card number 4 features the Elements of Style stamp set and the little accompanying bird for the envelope - as no envelope should arrive to the party naked!

Last but not least the little Bird Punch came out to play with the Thank you stamp from Perfect Punches stamp set.
And all 5 thank you cards were wrapped up in a little plastic bag and topped off with the Big Shot Top Note stamped in Elements of Style and held together with a little brad!
