Pennant Parade

This card is the second one for our Technique Tuesday class featuring the Tapestry Background ... I love the combo of the 2010-11 In Color of Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade with the new 2011-12 In Color of Calypso Coral and a base of Tangerine Orange to create the fiery background with some Vintage Vogue leaves.

It was then embellished with the new Pendent Parade stamp and coordinating punch set - is just so cute ... I love the little banners you can make with it!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Stampin'

More Vintage Magic

Here is another card showcased at our Technique Tuesday Black Magic class ... loving the Tempting Turquoise against the black as well and the pinking hearts border is just so delicate - perfect with a floral card and of course some pretty gold glitter added as the floral middles just adds the extra bit of bling!

This is a perfect card to share today as we got hit with another snow storm in the night and the signs of spring from yesterday are now once again buried under the fluffy white stuff ... so we can admire the spring cards and long for seeing them in real life!

Thankful for My Digital Studio...

because I can take it with me wherever I go ... including my weekend away for a mini Thanksgiving vacation at the in laws! So while I was able to spend time with my family celebrating all the other things we are thankful for I was also able to squeeze in some scrapbooking!

Below are some pages I made capturing the celebration of Alex and his Grade 8 grade last year. Cannot believe he is in Grade 9 now!

These pages are done showcasing the Vintage Vogue, Medallion, Circle Circus and Simple Friendship stamp sets as well as the Flower Brads and the digital circle and scalloped circle punches.

Marvelous Magnets

Here are some more 'think pink for the Cure' themed offerings for the Run the Gibraltar Fair this weekend!

Using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Doe as well as the Big Heart Punch I created some pretty funky fridge magnets and pins for interested customers!

The Butterflies are stamped with a number of different images and have some Dazzling diamond and Pearl accents to give them some awesome flair and all are sponged around the edges with Melon Mambo for that think pink touch! The backs have the 'Hope Ribbon' stamped on so people getting them as a gift know they are a Breast Cancer support pin.

So here is the display board for them ...

Here is the Heart to Heart magnet the back layer is covered with Dazzling Diamonds and the front is stamped with the Heart from the Hostess Set Punch Potpourri and some jazzy Rhinestone gems for bling factor.

Butterfly magnet number one is stamped with the swirls from the Priceless stamp set and adorned with some pearls and sponged on the edge with Melon Mambo and her wings are trimmed with Dazzling Diamonds!

Butterfly number two is stamped with the Elements of Style, sponged with Melon Mambo and covered in glitter and some pearls to accent her!

Butterfly number three is stamped in Certainly Celery with the floral vines from Vintage Vogue and has her wings sponged with Melon Mambo just a tiny bit of glitter and some pearls.

Butterfly number four is stamped with the Priceless vines centered around the 'Hope Ribbon' for those wanting to make a tribute to the Breast Cancer fight ... two little pearls accentuate her wings!

And or fifth butterfly is stamped with the En Fracias background stamp, sponged with Melon Mambo and edged with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and some mini pearls to accent her!
All of the pieces were then covered in Chrystal Effects medium to give them both the shine factor and the sturdiness to hold up as a pin or magnet.

If you are interested in purchasing a pin to help raise funds for Breast Cancer research come on out to the Gibraltar Market this weekend!

Stamp Around Wheels

These are cards designed by my upline Liz Goldhawk ... as a member of her team I am blessed to attend team meetings and technique classes with her so we can stretch our creative souls and grown our businesses together - just another example of the wonderful supportive atmosphere Stampin' Up promotes!

This month we were working with the Stamp Around Wheels - something I admit I had not yet really played with and am so excited now at the versatility of these wonderful tools!

The first card we made showcased how to use the Baroque Border wheel (although any abstract patterned wheel will work) to create a frame using a paper mask technique .... doesn't it make such a pretty card!

This second card was TOTALLY rocking... using the Very Vintage jumbo wheel we rolled the image on the background Marina Mist paper and than on the Whisper White strip we used a mask that Liz created using the different size Circle punches and placed this over the paper and rolled the Vintage wheel over it and then highlighted the circles with a Stamp Write maker - totally cool effect! The top layer is using the Vintage Vogue Stamp set flowers in Cherry Cobbler and vines in Marina Mist. The cool Cherry Cobbler paper accent ribbon is made with our Ribbon punch.

Five more cards for Run for the Cure

Five cards from a 6x6 piece of Designer 'Breast Cancer' themed scrap paper combined with my Stampin' Up! Products to make some awesome cards for the Run for the Cure fundraiser!

Once again I paired the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Melon Mambo card stock- as the pink flower paper from the Breast cancer paper was a perfect match for both!

Card number one I made my own faux ribbon with a border stamp from Vintage vogue and the paper crimper and accented with some mini pearls!

Card number two has some Modern Label accents and the Friend stamp from Vintage Vogue.

Card number three some Pink Pirouette ribbon accented with the Decorative label and Oval punches.

Card number four is the Eyelet border punch double punched to make a ribbon paired with the Scallop Oval and medium oval punches.

Card number five has some nice Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon as an accent and versamarked Vintage Vogue stamps on the Melon mambo card stock for a background paper.

All five cards come wrapped in a gift box with the I wear Pink Breast Cancer sentiment and with matching envelopes stamped with the Vintage Vogue floral border... $15 for the set and for a great cause!

This is cool - follow up from my sneak peek

This was so much FUN for me last night .... making your own designer series paper and turning it to 5 coordinating cards ... going to be making a lot of these in the near future to prepare for the Run for the Cure fundraiser!

First you choose a 'color scheme' for your card. I chose Blushing Bride, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo and Whisper White ... a think pink theme for the Breast Cancer awareness!

Than you take a 6x6 piece of card stock and choose a stamp set for your background to work with - I chose Vintage Vogue.

You than stamp your background in the lightest color and the largest stamp you are going to use ... so in this case I chose Versamark for the vines from the set for the very back ground.

Next choose your next shade of ink and your next largest stamp image - so in this case I chose Whisper White ink and the flowers from the Vintage Vogue Set.
Than you use the Quarter Wonder page cutting dimensions from Sharon's website http://createdbyu.blogspot.com/2010/06/quarter-sheet-wonder-tutorial.html to cut and prep your paper ... and finally you have fun creating your cards ... so here are my 5 card samples

Finally with a few scorelines and a couple cuts - you can even make a little box out of paper and decorate it up for a little 'gift package' for someone .... project complete ... and in one night I made FOUR of these little beauties to add to my fund raising pile!

Sneak Peek

Tonight I was busy recharging in the craft room for a LONG rain day with the kiddies and created 5 different cards featured from a 6x6 piece of designer paper ... a technique from Stampin' Up! that was shared on the Stampin' connection by Sharon Field.

I made my own designer paper featuring Vintage Vogue Stamp set in shades of pink in preparation for my fund raising initiative for the Run for the Cure in October!

Tomorrow I will have more time to share the steps and stages for this awesome and easy project - that gives you 5 unique cards and a little box to store them in!
