Wonder Wheels - encore

Sorry to be so long between posting .... been very busy preparing for Halloween with the kiddies!

This month I combined my Card Swap for my team meeting with the card I designed for my November technique class. This month we are revisiting the Wonderful Wheels from last month ... here is one of the cards we will be making!

This card features the Baby Tee wheel ... which I personally LOVE because there are so many different ways you can use this wheel - including carefully cutting out the little T's and popping them up. in different layers over the wheeled image or just solo with other stamp sets!

I was trying to go for a 'generic' colour combination but was having trouble choosing a third colour to go with the yellow/green so pulled out my trusty Colour Coach! So this colour combination of Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Night of Navy came from the Colour Coach Creative combo suggestions...which worked out awesome cause turns out this is this weeks Color Dare challenge so I can submit for it as well!

I also think that the Baby Tees partners very well with our Polka Dot Emboss folder and snuck in some glitter brad bling.

Trick or Treat Decor

I am so loving the Stampin' Up Decor Elements line ... here is the Trick or Treat bin I whipped up for putting our loot in for the kids this year ... it was so easy but it looks cute!

This Spooky things set is in the current Holiday mini and I only use a portion of the set - the other half was used to create my Raven in the Sunset painting hanging in the kitchen!

This is the front view blinged up with the retired Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon that I purchased off the Stampin' Up clearance rack for $2.89 for a 10 yard spool - quite a steal!

Back of the bucket....

More Spooky Luminaries

Another treat from our recent Halloween Stamp a Stack event ... these are so much fun to make.

This first one is a stamped Velum creation using the Wicked Cool stamp set and the Bitty Bat punch and a spider punch from another company...cause I am too lazy to cut out eight little itty bitty spider legs ;)

Here it is with the 'candle' lit ... using the flame-less battery operated candle!

With the candle turned off ...

A growing collection of luminaries ... some of them featuring the Spiderweb emboss technique on the vellum.

Chocolate Bar Bling!

At our October Halloween Stamp a Stack we took a break from cards and worked on Halloween projects for the upcoming festivities ... this is another one of the projects we made - Chocolate Bar Bling for those special Trick or Treaters in our life!

Another Wicked Cool theme using the colour combo of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black alone with the Designer Series Paper aptly named Wicked Fun - cause it is!

Stamp sets used on this one are Wicked Cool and Batty for You on the chocolate bar pull! The Old Olive card stock was sprayed with the Silver Smooch Spritz to give it that glittery effect!

Peek-a-boo witches for this example strictly used the Wicked Cool stamp set.

Trick or Treat

with some Wicked Cool Fancy Favor Bigz Die trick or treat bags!

These trick or treat bags inspired by my 'Think Pink' fundraiser are that little bit extra spooky done in Rich Razzleberry and Black glittered accent papers and the Whisper White layer is also sprayed with the Smooch spray for some extra 'dazzle' ... cause you can never have too much dazzle!

Can you just image the little faces of the kids who get these spooky trick or treat bags?

Spooky Butterfly

I am loving the decorating of the Butterfly Bigz Die butterflies for embellishments... this one is stamped with the web from the Wicked Cool stamp set and embossed with Iridescent Ice, sponged with Whisper White craft ink and sealed with Chrystal Effects and embellished with some Rhinestones!

Made with a single layer these make a wonderful spooky embellishment for Scrapbook page or Halloween card and layered by gluing multiple butterflies on top of each other make a nice sturdy magnet or broach.

Once Upon a Time ...

there we two little girls who believed in fairies ...

Little girls who grew up and still believed in fairies and often went to Fairyfests and frolicked with their fairy friends!

Than one day the Fairy met a Dragon who captured her hear ... and not long after they were wed in a forest wedding where all the fairies and dragons came together to celebrate their love ... and what a party it was!

What a total blast to scrapbook fun photos like these ... this is my cousin Raya's hand fasting to her soul mate Amoun in a pagen festival that was full of music, laughter and celebration around the fire until the wee hours of the morning - amazing day for two amazing people ... 2 years later and still living a happy ever after!

Traditional Spooky Banner

As promised here is the traditional paper crafted Spooky banner for my upcoming Halloween Stamp a Stack afternoon!

This project uses the Clear Scallop Square Bigz Die as the base of each panel and each panel is attached to the long strand of black satin ribbon and tie is made with our Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon!

S panel in Rich Razzleberry cardstock spritzed with Silver Smooch Spray and sporting our cute 2 Step Owl sitting on the branch from the 2 Step Bird punch. Letters are cut using the Timeless Die Cut set for the Big Shot.

P panel is using the Wicked Cool designer series paper and accented with the Wicked Cool Spider web stamp and a hand punched spider using the circle punch and some photo corners and our Bitty Bat punch in the opposite corner.

O panel with Old Olive cardstock and the Wicked Cool Witch Hat, Boots and bats stamps and spritzed with Vanilla Smooch Spray.

O panel in Basic Black cardstock embossed with Spider web folder and sponged with Whisper White ink and adorned with a couple punched spiders (not Stampin' Up unfortunately - but my hands are not so good for cutting out a spider by hand and we do not carry a spider punch yet).

K panel with Pumpkin Pie and embossed with the Polka Dot emboss folder and adorned with the Bitty Bat and a hand punched ghost using the wings from the 2 Step Bird punch.

Y panel with the Wicked Cool Designer Series paper and some more handmade ghosts using the 2 Step Bird punch.

Spooky Banner template

Below is the template layout for a Halloween Decor decor banner I am working on for my upcoming Halloween Stamp a Stack this Saturday ... if you have not already signed up don't miss out I have lots of great ideas to share on how to use paper crafting and stampin' to decorate and there are only a couple spaces left!

So I have used the My Digital Studio to help me with the colours, layout of embellishments and so forth than later tonight when I can have some uninterpreted time in the craft room I can whip up the real thing! Another thing to love about the My Digital Studio ... you can map out a template for your projects without using up your paper with any 'duds' that seemed awesome in your head but did not translate into real life ... with the digital option there is not waste cause if you do not like what you created you just move it around until you do and than hit save!

Now the real thing will not look exactly the same cause with real life there are some more techniques and stamps and so forth I have as an option that I do not yet have for the My Digital Studio so check back tomorrow morning for the 'real thing' to see how it came to life for me!

Thankful for My Digital Studio...

because I can take it with me wherever I go ... including my weekend away for a mini Thanksgiving vacation at the in laws! So while I was able to spend time with my family celebrating all the other things we are thankful for I was also able to squeeze in some scrapbooking!

Below are some pages I made capturing the celebration of Alex and his Grade 8 grade last year. Cannot believe he is in Grade 9 now!

These pages are done showcasing the Vintage Vogue, Medallion, Circle Circus and Simple Friendship stamp sets as well as the Flower Brads and the digital circle and scalloped circle punches.

More Alligator Purses

Here are a few more purses I created for my friend Shannon - who sells Scentsy Candles! Check them out they are totally amazing product great for people with kids or pets cause they are 'flame-less'!

These little purses are just so much fun and this time I was able to incorporate her logo into the card design for her and do some Razzleberry purses as well as Certainly Celery! I also got a new Stampin' Around Stars Wheel which made a great design on the purses as well - so some are with the Star Wheel and some are decorated with the Canada Day stamp set stars!

Ta Da Trivet Tiles and Coasters

This month at my up line meeting we were working with items featured in our Definitely Decorative catolog ... so we made the Decor Elements canvas and than this awesome trivet tile using the Decor Stencil Kind Thoughts Brocade which was covered with a ceramic paste and allowed to dry and than blinged up with some Dazzling diamonds to give it some sparkle ... stamped and decorated tiles can be used as trivets, coasters and placed in a plate stand and just admired on the mantle!

Here is another sample of coasters I made using the retired stamp Tres Chic and the baked embossing technique.

People tell me they love getting something hand made and from the heart as a gift ... so can you just imagine choosing your favorite stamp set and making up some of these awesome tiles as Christmas presents...if you would like a private class on how to make these gorgeous treasures shoot me an email!

Technique Tuesday classes - Wonderful Wheels

This month I had a request to show the Stampin' Around Wheels ... which was wonderful timing because in September both my upline and the Regional Conference I attended had showcased some new ways to think about the wheels!

The technique card we will be practicing on gives participants a chance to practice the 'framing' with the wheel.

Card number 1 ... I could not resist a little Halloween sample to show off the framing of the Stampin' Around Spiderweb wheel paired with the Wicked Cool stamp set and featuring Peach Parfait, Concord Crush colours.

Card number 2 showcases the Stampin' Around Wheel Very Vintage paired with the punch mask technique. Sentiment pairs the Perfect Punch stamp set sentiment and the Elements of Style sentiment which fit together layering perfectly with the Extra large and large Scalloped circle punches and 1 1/4 circle punch. Faux ribbon created with the Eyelet border punch and crimper. Colour combo is River Rock, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist with some pearls for bling factor!

Spooky Luminary

This is a project we made at my upline Decor Elements class ... isn't it cute? You cannot tell in the photo but inside is a flame-less candle that lights up the spooky spider web for Halloween.

This project features the Stampin Up! Fancy Favor Bigz die and the Spider web embossing folder! It was really easy to make and I am planning on making some with my daycare kids and letting them bling up the edges!

Wrapping up Run for the Cure

Thank you to everyone who supported me in the Run for the Cure this year. In total between cash donations and fund-raising efforts I raised $340 for our team this year - not bad for my first effort.

Last count our team collectively raised over $3000.00 in total although there were some cash donation this morning still coming in ~ awesome effort Bold and Boobiful!

The winners of the Raffle Fundraiser that I organized were drawn today and I am pleased to announce that the winners are:

Gift Basket Winner - Beth Coxen
Level One Hostess Gift - Emily Stoltz
$20 in Free Stampin' Up Products - Susan Sutton

I will be doing my best to contact the winners this week to arrange for either pick up of their prize or choosing of their prizes so that I can order them for them for pick up!

Now on to the cutest little project we did this past week ... a little picture frame accent for a table or desk. Background is our Newsprint Designer Series Paper and than a glittery Beautiful Butterfly stamped with Elements of Style and coloured with our blender pens and than embossed the entire butterfly with Iridescent Ice to add some sturdiness, shine and BLING to the pretty little accent ... the photo never seems to catch the glitter factor!

Lovely as a Tree

Another quick and simple card sample for the Holiday Season fast approaching! This one is Lovely as a Tree with the Heard from the Heart sentiment ... a colour combo of Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy.
