Friday Mashup!

Ok - so the craft room has had a tragic accident - the three shelf wall storage unit that I had over top of my workspace came crashing down the past week despite the 300 pound wall anchors holding it!

Fortunately the universe was looking out for me and neither I nor anyone else was IN the craft room at the time having just momentarily vacated it to head upstairs for lunch with the kids!

However the proceeding mess and lack of storage has made it a little less than workable in there - so no traditional cards until I can carve out sometime to shop for new storage solutions!

So for this weeks Friday Mashup I had went to my trustee much loved My Digital Studio to get creative with the layout and color scheme ... and had so much fun I created not one but THREE entries and finally had to tell myself to stop and go make dinner!

Entry number one makes use of the Blueberry Crisp DSP, Baroque Motifs stamp set which I think matches the DSP perfectly when accented with some Flower Brads with some Pearl Accents

Entry number two was inspired by a desire to create a more masculine care so I went with the new Nautical Expedition Designer Series paper and matching Open Sea stamp set with the sentiment from the For All You Do stamp set.

Finally entry number three uses the Filled with Love stamp set to create the background paper and paired it with the Just Believe floral image and sentiment of the Elements of Style sentiment.

  1. Margaret - your digi cards are GORGEOUS! Sometimes those "accidents" open up new opportunities. I'm so glad you were still able to play at the Friday Mashup and share your beautiful creations with us!!

  2. Oh No.. I'm so glad nobody got hurt when that fell. Just think now you get to shop for something new, shopping is always fun! All three of these Digi cards are Fabulous!! I think my absolute fav is the Element of Style one.. Thanks so much for joining us at The Friday Mashup!

  3. Oh wow Margaret! I am so happy you were not in the room when that happened! You have done wonderful work here! My favourite is the last card but I adore that set!
Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup this week!

  4. Awesome use of MDS! Love all of these. Glad no one got hurt with the falling shelves. Guess it's an opportunity for re-org!

  5. Holy cow!! So glad no one was around when the shelving fell! That must have made quite a racket when it fell. I probably would have had a heart attack! You did a great job with the MDS cards!! I love them all, but the nautical one is my favorite. I love that paper and stamp set!! Great job on them all, and thanks for playing along over at The Friday Mashup!

  6. glad no one got hurt! What a hassle that must be!

But in the meantime, you created some real beauties!! A great variety of cards the nautical one!

Thanks for playing the Friday Mashup!

  7. oh no! that would be a messy disaster (but as you said at least no one was in there at the time). You certainly outdid yourself with this challenge... I love them all!
